This applet is designed to give students an intuitive, conceptual understanding of the behavior of a damped
driven simple harmonic oscillator. Newton's second law for this system can be written as:
ma + cv + kx = 0
Instructions: Play with the sliders to to change the behavior of the system!
Note: if the pink line misses the blue line, that's an indication of how the weak damping limit is invalid in that regime. :-)
